5 Nokia Messaging Shortcuts

There are many shortcuts on the Nokia Messaging application whether on QWERTY or normal keyboard phone, but I’d like to focus just on five of them and just on normal keyboard phones meaning phones with T9.

The first two shortcuts are the 1 and the 7 keys. The 1 key goes to reply message and the 7 goes to reply to all. So, if you are reading a message or have a message selected on the Inbox, you can just press 1 or 7 to reply or reply to all. Fast and easy.

After the aforementioned shortcuts, there are another two shortcut keys that are extremely useful, the 3 and 9 key which represent, respectively, page up and page down shortcuts. These keys are useful if you have lots of messages and have to scroll down or up quickly.

The last one, is the 0 key that opens a blank message to compose an e-mail. So there you have it a short list of shortcuts that will improve your user experience.

Shortcut Summary

  • 1 Key – Reply
  • 7 key – Reply to all
  • 3 key – Page Up
  • 9 key – Page Down
  • 0 key – Compose a new email

    I am using the nokia message on e65, and I found further

    2 is top of message list
    8 is bottom of message list.
    4 is to flag messages.
    5 to toggle read/unread
    * to change to top “tab” for selection of display type.
    # to mark/unmark

    is anyone found the function of 6?
