Well my friends as we approach 2010 and see all the current trends in the mobile industry it is ever more clear to me and the rest of the NMT team that "Open" is the key to mobile world. Just take Nokia’s own recent decision to make the Symbian Foundation an open source technology and just looking around the blogosphere and news media it is clear that the future of technologies is the concept of being "Open".
NMT started as an idea I had to blog about all things Nokia and by default Symbian but now the winds are changing and in order to be able to ride that kite into the sky I believe that that NMT has to expand and embrace the concept of being "open" and talk about all things mobile but rest easy because I love Symbian and Symbian is so much a part of this entire concept of being open and as such will always be news worthy. So stay tuned because things are going to get a lot more interesting at NMT and a new name is coming soon. As Bob Dylan, the great American poet and songwriter, says "Times are Changing"
Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone.
