Via a communications by Reuters a Nokia spokesperson flat out denied the claim that Nokia will be joining forces with Android.
So much news but as pro-consumers we can only just cross our fingers that our beloved Nokia is headed in the right path. As many of you know Nokia is a publicly traded corporation and they have a fiduciary commitment to the shareholders to do what all business have to do and that is Economics 101 – profit maximization.
So this overzealous love for a failing platform [failing when compared to the fruit boys and the touch phenomenon that is storming through the world] that will not bring us into the limelight ala N95 days and will eventually be our demise, in a figurative manner of speaking off course, Nokia will always be Nokia and make handsets but I’m talking about what we know as handset a true blue diamond. But still one can’t remain a pure Symbian loyalist when its ever so obvious that that the tides have changed and what Symbian has now become is not what will garnish back Nokia’s declining worldwide market share. So when September comes around and finally have the expected handset or tablet(hopefully not) then we will see if its Android or Maemo. In the meantime I’ll stay vigilant and open to other possibilities.
Cheers everyone
