Remembering the Nokia E71 and Nokia N95 8GB

I still remember the day I received my E71 from Dell. The built quality was simply outstanding and having come from the Blackberry and WinMo world it was a refreshing breath on my mobile lifestyle. I quickly discovered how awesome it handled the native Google apps like Gmail, Google Maps, and Youtube which were and still are one of my favorite set of apps in any mobile platform. (more…)

Tutorial: How to make Nokia Messaging recognize your Gmail password

Returning back to Nokia full time has been pretty smooth for the most part. I installed all my main apps ie. Gravity, Snaptu, setup ShareOnline with my Pixelpipe credentials and a few other basic apps but when it came down to Nokia Messaging and Profimail I had a slight hiccup with the aforementioned apps recognizing my main gmail credentials.

I must have entered my password at least three or four times but Nokia Messaging on the web side did not alert me to any kind off error besides not accepting the password. Like a little mobile chap that I am, I always have a back up and that’s Profimail which is a rock solid application I’m sure many of you know already. Well, leave it to Profimail to give me an error. Well, so I Google the error and came up with this.

Fix Gmail IMAP Invalid Credentials or Web Login Requires (Failure) Error

1. First you must sign in on the web to your gmail account and then hit this link

http://bit.ly/c8MVp1

2. Once you Uncaptcha your Gmail account, login into Nokia Messaging on the Web and setup your email and it should accept it with no problem and do the same in Profimail and boom your done, your email should begin to work in a few seconds or minute.

A comparative look into Nokia E Series and the Blackberry Bold 9700

Hello, hello, folks, its been a while since I’ve written. First off, happy new year and thank you for your continued support. I want to thank some of my fellow bloggers for keeping it real and showing their support during this time of personal reflection I’ve been going through during last few months as some of you may know a divorce is not an easy situation regardless of the circumstances, also a very special thanks to all my twitter followers who kept the flame alive and all those great wishes that were sent to me via DM, you guys are great.

Back to Nokia now. Recently I acquired a Blackberry Bold 9700 for personal use after being disappointed with some the Symbian solutions out there, you all know what applications I’m talking about, native apps hmm, anyway having said that, we all know the BB’s are renowned for their messaging capabilities and despite an outage here and there they are flawless.

Thoughts on the Nokia N86

Let me start off by saying that I’ve been a full QWERTY phone user for the past several years. Started with Blackberry about 3-4 years ago and have gone through about 6 different devices over the years.  Then, I decided to try Nokia, and got myself an E71.  At the same time, I also decided to try the N95 8GB.  I loved the E71, but also loved the N95 8GB for its excellent media features, but just couldn’t convince myself to give up the full QWERTY device and switch fully to the N95.  (more…)

Interview with Tech Savvy Rita El Khoury

Today I present you Rita El Khoury one of  my favorite Symbian writers. Why do I like her ? because she is raw and blogs from the heart, she’s real and shares tons of accumulated knowledge. She not only is a great blogger but also happens to be pharmacist, can you believe that, yes in the medical field. I remember reading a post which really struck a chord in me, its called “Diary of a True Mobile Powerhouse” which I highly recommend to anyone but especially newcomers to Symbian. Rita is well known throughout the Symbian community and as you may know she writes for the Symbian-Guru.com alongside Ricky Cadden and also at Fonearena.com and of course she has her own personal blog over at The Dotsisx Blog.com so as you can see, Rita is all over the blogosphere but she does not spread herself thin she is a top notch Mobile Journalist and for those that don’t know she was even interviewed by the Wall Street Journal . Without further ado, I present Rita El Khoury. Enjoy
