After having had the Nokia N97 for a few days and giving my impressions on this device earlier once thing I’ve come to love is the outstanding web browser.
So I’m testing the N97’s camera and its 5 mega pixels to see if it compares with my Nokia N95 8GB and this shot came out and I wanted to share it with you all. I’ve included the official photo properties from flickr so you can see what aperture and shutter speed created this great shot.
Well, well what wonderful news have we today, Unwired View, just reported and confirmed the existence of the N97 Mini, Nokia’s flagship new little sibling. I recall last Friday when I went to the Nokia Latin America Headquarters in Miami that I asked my contact about the veracity of those rumors and usual he/she was unresponsive but they gave me a very nice smile which I know take to be a fact after reading the aforementioned article. Well after 1.5 days with the N97 I must say the battery life is indeed pretty amazing, although not quite like the other units that share the same battery like the Nokia E71, Nokia E63, and the Nokia E90 but it certainly does very well for an Nseries device loaded with power hungry widgets and a touch screen. Well today I finally got the much awaited Nokia N97 and so far its behaved without any hiccups. To repeat what’s been said in most of the blogs out there, the build is outstanding, they really did a great job on it.
Since I’m an old school Nokia kind off guy and after having a plethora of Nokia smartphones including the Nokia XM 5800 I must say the touch experience is so much better on the Nokia N97 and it truly feels very nice. I’m still getting use to the whole touch thing so bear with me. I’ve shot a couple of videos of an unboxing that I will publish in the upcoming days
What else can I say, well the default Facebook widget is delightful to use, uploading pictures taken or from the gallery is very very easy and I know a lot of users will really take advantage of this great feature. The RSS widget is rock solid and works like a charm, I’ve loaded my famous Gmail Mod application and it looks outstanding and it works like a charm.
I’ll be back later with some more thoughts but I wanted to get these out now.
This is a great article which all Nokia N97 users should read and pay careful attention, it will definitely improve your mileage with this device.
